Tech Experts explore the potential of GenAI and future of cloud at RPC’23

In a year where GenAI and Cloud become household words for many around the globe, we wanted to know: What is it about these transformative technologies that most excites the experts? At the Rakuten Product Conference, we connected with AI and Cloud leaders from various sectors, eager to uncover their perspectives on the subject.

Earlier this year, Rakuten India, the high tech nerve center of Rakuten Group, held its flagship event: Rakuten Product Conference ‘23 (RPC). RPC’23, which took place virtually from Rakuten India’s Crimson House Bangalore headquarters, brought together leading data science professionals, AI practitioners and business leaders from across industries to delve into two of the hottest trending topics of today: Generative AI and the Future of Cloud. Over two days, the event attracted 6,000 participants from across geographies and sectors who were eager to learn more about these rapidly evolving technologies.

GenAI dominated discussion on day one of the conference. In addition to Rakuten’s internal AI experts, RPC’23 featured an impressive and diverse lineup of GenAI leaders, including Ankush Sabharwal, CEO at CoRover; Dr. Nanda Kambhatla, Sr. Director at Adobe Research India; Kirthi Ganapathy, Specialist Customer Engineering Leader of Google Cloud India; and other industry experts, who shared their insights on the present landscape, future potential and challenges associated with GenAI.

We caught up with some of these GenAI experts on the sidelines of RPC’23 to understand how Generative AI will change the world as we know it.

Day two focused on the future of cloud. Industry stalwarts, including Dr. Rahul Ghodke from CGI; Nitin Mishra from ONDC; and Sandeep Kohli, Vice President of Engineering at Flipkart, took to the stage to share their knowledge and insights on the future of cloud technology.
