Akiu Onsen

8. Akiu Onsen – The Imperial Household’s Goryo Onsen is one of Japan’s Three Great Onsen hot springs, along with Arima in Hyogo Prefecture and Dogo in Ehime Prefecture. These hot springs, located upstream of the Natorigawa river, have a proud history that dates back 1400 years since they were first opened. The area is currently bustling as a back parlor of Sendai.
