Rakuten Festival 2025: Celebrating Rakuten’s diverse culture and services

Rakuten Group successfully hosted its inaugural Rakuten Festival (“Rakuten Bunkasai”) on Saturday, November 8, 2025. This free-admission event, held across Rakuten Crimson House, Futako-Tamagawa Rise Central Square and Studio & Hall, offered attendees an immersive experience of Rakuten’s diverse culture, services and businesses.

Rakuten Festival 2025 represented a notable expansion from its origins. Evolving from “Rakuten Family Day,” which exclusively served employees’ families and friends since 2007, this year’s festival opened its doors to the general public. This inclusive approach allowed for significantly broader engagement and strengthened connections within the wider community.

Attendees with prior registration were granted exclusive access to select areas within Rakuten Crimson House, typically reserved for employees. This access included tours of the conference room where the company’s weekly all-hands meeting (Asakai) are held, complete with commemorative photo opportunities.

Beyond the meeting rooms, visitors could explore exhibits designed to introduce Rakuten’s core values, known as Rakuten Shugi. The venue also featured booths dedicated to Rakuten’s social contribution and SDG initiatives, alongside displays from various employee club activities. For younger attendees and their families, a dedicated kids’ area was set up in the Asakai Theatre, ensuring fun for all ages.

Food, fun and future technology

The festival’s public area, spanning Futako-Tamagawa Rise Central Square and Studio & Hall, brought Rakuten’s diverse ecosystem to life. Interactive booths dedicated to Rakuten Mobile, Rakuten Travel and Rakuten AI allowed visitors to directly experience Rakuten’s innovative business models. Beyond these tech-focused displays, attendees enjoyed a range of additional attractions, including a popular Blind Soccer® Experience, led by para-athletes from Rakuten Socio Business, and a lively lottery.
