Rakuten Technology Conference 2022: Tech & Green
After a three-year break, it’s back! On November 19, 2022, engineers, researchers and tech enthusiasts from around the world will gather at Rakuten Group’s Tokyo headquarters for the Rakuten Technology Conference 2022, one of the biggest events on the Rakuten Tech calendar.
This year marks the 14th edition of the event, and under the theme of “Tech & Green,” the conference will feature talks and panels across three tracks with more than 30 tech leaders and experts from a wide range of fields, including data, AI, fintech and mobile technology.
Leaders from Rakuten, Slack, Google headline speaker lineup
This year’s event has an enticing lineup of speakers. Following an opening keynote from Rakuten Group Chairman and CEO Mickey Mikitani, Tamar Yehoshua, Chief Product Officer at Slack, will be joined by Tatsuya Kinugawa, Executive Officer and Director of the Ecosystem Platform Supervisory Department at Rakuten Group, to look into the secrets of effective product management and learn from specific case studies from Slack.
Red Hat Chief Technology Officer Chris Wright will also take to the stage with Rohit Dewan, Executive Officer and Director of the Cloud Platform Supervisory Department at Rakuten Group, to discuss how computing is shaping the future.
Cassie Kozyrkov, Chief Decision Scientist at Google, will be joined by Ewa Szymanska, Executive Officer and Global Head of Rakuten Institute of Technology, and Ting Cai, Chief Data Officer and Group Senior Managing Executive Officer at Rakuten Group for a panel discussion on decision science and artificial intelligence.
Kids Park promises fun for children and adults alike
This year, the Kids Park will also make a return, featuring a variety of fun activities for both children and adults, including drone flight challenges and robotics showcases. Lunch and refreshments will be offered at the company cafeteria, and participants will have the chance to interact and network with the speakers and other guests at the special after-party.
